The Title has nothing to do with the rest of the Post. Its just one of the status msg I used for a long time.

So what I will write about is random and “high” stuff. So before our paper submission on 23rd Jan, we had this little get-together of the SIGCIG
( Special Interest Group in CIG ) members. It was quick (to plan, just couldnt think of any reason not to do it), well executed (everybody was there on time inspite of all the four being busy), Mini Blissed. So one of the 4 elite members coined a new term which made us ROFL for some time ( rmr we were high so a bit of over laughing and over over rolling on the floor is ok ! ) So basically we were left with just one more sutt in the packet and ofcourse every body wanted to have it, so this elite member of ours says “Abe chalo Community Sutta jalao”. hence

define:Community Sutta :- If you are smoking in a group and there is only one sutt left, its the one, Community Sutta.

Well, I still have to (re-)kill ranta for not being in hyd on 23rd as we needed him for some geeky stuff for our submission. Met Upsy, I thought I will have to go all the way to Shimla for meeting her, but well lucky me.

Went for Dry-Treat on Dry-Day 26th Jan hosted by Ptee and AkS, Thanks guys and may you guys grow old and face all the fucked up phases of life. Amen.

Watched Tennis after a long time, basically the last match I watched was Roddick vs Federer Wimbledon ‘06 Final when I was back home, this time it was the Australian Open ‘07 Final, Federer vs Gonzalez (F def G 7-6, 6-4, 6-4). Beer + TV kicks ass. Federer is a sweet champion, I can totally hold him next to Jordon, both being the master of the game and respecting the game at the same time. Thanks Bapu and Vardhman for hosting the Finals and cooking the del.icio.us food.

Leaving for home on Saturday, I hope I get to enjoy some winter there.

Geometry Shader Codes | Shader Model 4.0

Alert :: Highly Geeky Stuff Ahead !

My main contribution through this post is providing a set of Shader Model 4.0 based codes in OpenGL + GLSL. Examples for Geometry Shader, Transform Feedback and Layer Rendering can be found at following weblink.

Assumptions :: You have a G80 or higher end card, basically a Shader Model 4.0 supporting Graphics Card. You are running linux and you can see GL_EXT_GEOMETRYSHADER4 in the dump produced by “glxinfo”. In case you can’t find that this might help you. Once that done, you can go ahead and do “make” in the downloaded codes and start writing/editing your own Shader Model 4.0 enabled codes.
